Welcome!
We are glad that you are here! Take a look around. We hope that you will join us on Sunday morning & live out true community as we follow Jesus our King.
What to expect?
Our Church Body:
FBC was founded in 1978. Sunday morning begins at 9:00am with Adult, Youth, & Children's Discipleship Classes. Our Worship Service begins at 10:30am where we sing praises together, pray together, read God's Word together, and hear a message from the Bible.
Our children are in the service for the beginning part of the service where together as a family we sing God's praises, we read Scripture, and we pray together. Then before the message, our children (PreK- 5th grade) go to Children's Church where they engage in biblical, age-appropriate lessons. We have a nursery available throughout the entire service. We celebrate communion and baptism throughout the year.
Our body meets together throughout the week in Life Groups where we apply Sunday's sermon, pray for one another, open the Bible together, and care for one another.
Friendship Baptist is involved in our community in significant ways. During the week we have a Preschool and Childcare Center for families in our community. We have a Sunday evening Children's Ministry of AWANA and a Wednesday evening Youth Ministry which engages students for discipleship and equips our students for "salty" Christianity. We offer support to our community through Hope Groups, some specific groups that meet to address live altering circumstances like death, bankruptcy, and divorce.
We are a part of the Southern Baptist Convention & function autonomously through our congregational membership. We are not a church where you come & only observe, but a church body where you serve & are served, know others & can be known by others, love & are loved. We love the gospel & believe that it influences what we do when we gather together, how we serve one another, & how we follow Jesus.
Our Surrounding Community:
Friendship Baptist Church (FBC) is located in New Concord, Ohio East of Columbus. This rural village has a population of 2,500 and is located in Muskingum County which has a population of about 86,000.
